Fortress offers educational gaming experiences for school groups, vacation care programs and organised youth groups. Packages can include a venue tour, games industry EduTalk, Q&A session and hosted gameplay focused on teamwork, communication, problem-solving and creativity.
What ages are Fortress youth packages suitable for?
Fortress youth packages are designed for children and teenagers aged 8 to 17. Some activities have specific age requirements based on the game and package selected. Ages 13 and under require signed consent from a teacher, parent or guardian.
Are the packages suitable for school excursions?
Yes. Fortress EduPackages are designed for school groups and include a venue tour, an industry talk and hosted educational gameplay.
Can vacation care, OSHC and OOSH groups visit Fortress?
Yes. Vacation care, OSHC and OOSH groups can book one, two or three-hour Activity Packages with hosted PC, console, arcade or party games.
Where are the youth programs available?
Youth education and activity packages are available at Fortress Melbourne and Fortress Sydney. Some games and activities vary by venue.
When can school and youth groups visit?
Packages are generally available on weekdays between 12 pm and 7 pm. Earlier sessions may be available for larger groups.
How many students can attend?
Activity Package group sizes generally range from 15 to 54 participants in Melbourne and 15 to 58 participants in Sydney. Larger groups may be available by arrangement.
What skills can students develop?
Students can develop technology, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, creativity, analytical thinking and coordination through structured gameplay.
How long do Fortress school and group experiences run?
EduPackages are available as two-hour or two-and-a-half-hour experiences. Activity Packages are available for one, two or three hours, with additional time available by arrangement.
What is the difference between a school package and a youth activity experience package?
School EduPackages combine gameplay with an educational tour and discussion about technology, esports, gaming careers and industry skills. Youth Activity Experiences focus on hosted group gameplay, friendly competition and social participation.
