Where is the Fortress arcade?

The Fortress Arcade is at Fortress Melbourne, inside Emporium Melbourne in the CBD. It's part of the games bar, so it flows straight into the Tavern. Fortress Sydney doesn't have an arcade yet.

How do I pay to play the arcade games?

The arcade runs on an Arcade Game Card, not coins. Load your card at one of the self-serve kiosks or at the Arcade counter, then tap it on any machine to play.

What bonus do I get when I load an Arcade Game Card?

The more you load, the more you get. Buy $20 and get $25, buy $40 and get $55, buy $60 and get $90, buy $80 and get $130, or buy $100 and get $170 to play with.

What arcade games can I play at Fortress?

There's a mix of retro and modern cabinets, including Mai Mai, Taiko no Tatsujin, DDR, Bishi Bashi, Mario Kart Arcade, Piano Keys, air hockey, Pop the Lock, Rabbids VR, Big Buck Hunter and retro pinball, plus racers, shooters and prize redemption games.

Can I win prizes in the arcade?

Yes. Prize redemption games pay out tickets, and you can swap your ticket winnings for prizes at the fully stocked prize store.

Can I eat and drink while I play?

Yes. The arcade isn't a separate zone, so you can grab a cocktail or a cold beer from the bar and carry it with you. Popcorn chicken, wings and a double smash burger are all easy to eat between games.

Can I book the arcade for a birthday or party?

Yes. Fortress has group packages for birthdays, parties and celebrations, for groups from 5 to 1000 people, including kids arcade parties. Book online through Book Melbourne for groups up to 20, or enquire for anything bigger and the team will help you plan it.

Is the arcade just for kids?

Not at all. The arcade is a bar as much as a games floor, so it works for date nights, catch-ups with mates and big celebrations as well as kids parties.
