What is the policy for Under 18s?
The Home of Games is for players of all ages, however, as a licensed venue there is a non-negotiable Under-18s Policy for patrons. Under-18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. No minors are permitted unaccompanied. Accompanied minors are permitted to enter the venue until 7PM each day, and must leave before 8PM. What are your parking options?
Fortress Sydney: We recommend Wilson Parking Market City which has a booking rate of $14.00 on weekends or Hourly Rate From $9.00. Fortress Melbourne: We recommend The Strand, situated across from Melbourne Central and next to Emporium on 323 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. The Strand has a flat rate of $21.00 on weekends. Alternatively, St Francis Car Park located on 312 Lonsdale Street offers a flat rate of $15.00 on the weekends. Melbourne Central Station is a 5 minute walk and there are several tram stops a few minutes walk away on both Elizabeth St and Swanston St.
Do I need to have an account or own games to play?
No, full access to our games libraries is included in your PC Pass or hire of Heroes Booths. There are plenty of guest accounts available, which means you can enjoy top releases without needing your own account or to own the title. You can also log into your own PC game accounts if you wish, or BYO board games. You cannot use personal games/accounts on consoles in VIP Booths.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Fortress is designed to be wheelchair accessible across all levels of both venues from our streamer pods to the bathrooms, even our Esports Arena stage!
Can I bring outside food and drink?
No. Fortress is a licensed venue, we are unable to allow outside food and drinks in the venue. The only exception is if you are bringing your own cake into Fortress for a celebration, in which case you can pay a $15 cakeage fee which covers storage, serving, and all associated utensils and servingware.
Do you take cash?
Fortress is a cashless venue. We accept credit cards, debit cards and digital forms of payment, through your smartphone or our POS system.
Can I refund or reschedule my booking or event ticket?
Generally, we cannot offer refunds or reschedules for bookings & event tickets. Please check the booking page itself for any specific terms & conditions that may apply to your purchase.
