Fortress is the home of games - a games venue, medieval Tavern and bar in Melbourne and Sydney. You can eat, drink and play board games, console games and PC games with a friendly team looking after you. It's made for gamers and non-gamers alike.
Where are the Fortress venues?
Fortress Melbourne is at 23 Caledonian Lane, LG Emporium, Melbourne VIC 3000, phone (03) 9606 8800. Fortress Sydney is at Level 2, 28 Broadway, Chippendale NSW 2008, phone (02) 8609 3336. Both venues are accessible.
Do I need to book, or can I just walk in?
Walk-ins are always welcome and it's free to come in - no need to book. You can also book online for groups, VIP console booths, PC gaming and other experiences if you want to lock in a time.
What games can I play at Fortress?
Hundreds of board games, VIP console booths, PC gaming in the Legion Lounge, D&D and tabletop games. Melbourne also has an arcade with retro and modern games, including Mai Mai and Taiko no Tatsujin.
Can I eat and drink at Fortress?
Yes. Fortress is open every day, with an in-house restaurant in the Tavern serving $19 lunches, daily meal specials, signature cocktails and a full bar. Happy hour runs 4-6pm Monday to Saturday. Sydney also has 2315, our sci-fi cocktail bar.
What events are on at Fortress?

Can I book a party or group at Fortress?
Yes. Fortress has group packages for birthdays, bucks and hens, date nights and celebrations. You can book online for up to 20 people, and for bigger groups just enquire and the team will help you plan it.
Can Fortress host corporate functions and conferences?
Yes. Fortress hosts functions, team building, Christmas parties and conferences for 10 to 1,000 people across two huge floors. There's themed dining, bars and in-house audio-visual and technical support. Enquire online and the functions team will help with the details.
Is Fortress good for the kids in the school holidays?
Yes. Fortress is the perfect place to take the kids in the school holidays. You can book a school holiday package online, or just walk in and play board games, console games and PC games together. Kids 15 and under can eat from the Gremlin's Menu for $15.
