What is Games Week at Fortress?
Games Week is a full week of gaming events at Fortress Melbourne from Monday 5 to Sunday 11 October 2026. There's something on every night, from Y2K gaming trivia and an interactive video game concert to the ANZ Creators Party & Awards and the big Games Week Party on Saturday.
What's on each night of Games Week?
Monday 5 October is Y2K Gaming Trivia Night. Tuesday 6 is a Team-Up Tuesdays Games Week special. Wednesday 7 is Board Game Social. Thursday 8 is Extra Lives, an interactive video game concert. Friday 9 is the ANZ Creators Party & Awards. Saturday 10 is the Games Week Party. DJs play in the Tavern on Friday and Sunday.

Every Games Week event is at Fortress Melbourne, Shop 25/23 Caledonian Lane, Melbourne VIC 3000.
How do I get tickets for Games Week events?
Tickets for Y2K Gaming Trivia Night, Extra Lives, the ANZ Creators Party & Awards and the Games Week Party are sold through Humanitix - book straight from the event listings on this page. Board Game Social is free and you don't need a ticket. Tickets are non-refundable, so check your date before you book.
Are Games Week events 18+?
Yes. Minors aren't allowed in the venue after 8pm, so the evening Games Week events are 18+. Bring valid ID, as it's checked at the door. See our Minors Policy at fortress.games/minors for more.
What happens at the Games Week Party?
The Games Week Party is on Saturday 10 October from 8pm to 1am, with doors open from 7pm. Expect live performances, cosplay, a themed photo wall, prizes, gaming and more.
Can I come to Games Week in cosplay?
Yes, cosplay is welcome all week, especially at the Games Week Party. Props are checked by our team when you arrive and functional or bladed weapons aren't allowed, so read our cosplay guidelines at fortress.games/cosplay-guidelines before you come.
How does Y2K Gaming Trivia Night work?
Y2K Gaming Trivia Night is on Monday 5 October. Doors open at 6:30pm and trivia starts at 7pm. Test your PS1, N64 and Dreamcast-era knowledge, plus curveball rounds on Y2K pop culture and internet history. There's a welcome drink, themed cocktails and prizes, and you can book as a team or come solo and join one on the night.
What is Extra Lives?
Extra Lives is an interactive video game concert on Thursday 8 October from 7:15pm to 9pm. A live band plays alongside visuals, music and sound effects from console games of the '80s, '90s and 2000s, and the audience votes at key moments to decide where the story goes, with multiple possible endings.
Who can go to the ANZ Creators Party & Awards?
The ANZ Creators Party & Awards is a relaxed night for content creators and their friends on Friday 9 October from 7pm to 11pm. Tickets are $15 and include a drink. It's 18+ and IRL streaming isn't allowed at the event.
Do I need a ticket for Board Game Social during Games Week?
No, Board Game Social is free. Just walk in on Wednesday 7 October from 6pm. Tables are set up with games to play or join, our hosts can help you find a group, and you're welcome to bring your own games.
How late is Fortress open during Games Week?
Fortress Melbourne is open until 11:30pm every night of Games Week, and later on Saturday for the Games Week Party.
