When the sentient star Arcturus calls upon brilliant star pilot Vela Lim, she must journey into Arcturus's dream – the fantastical planet Arcune – to confront the ice demon Kadath and his Voidborn army.
On Arcune, Vela allies with Bootes (an enigmatic AI bard), Jim (a troll warrior with a lost past), and Carina (a legendary gladiator). Together, they battle to protect Arcune while exploring themes of free will, technology's consequences, and the power of belief.
